The sheet features masterpieces created by a dozen artists between 1912 and 1931: Stuart Davis, Charles Demuth, Aaron Douglas, Arthur Dove, Marcel Duchamp, Marsden Hartley, John Marin, Gerald Murphy, Georgia O’Keeffe, Man Ray, Charles Sheeler, and Joseph Stella. Working in various styles, these artists experimented with just about anything new and different.
The Modern Art in America Forever® stamps were released this morning in a ceremony at The Armory Show in New York City. They are available now and in Post Offices around the country. (Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail® one-ounce rate.)
